Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The largest vehicle I've driven on a regular basis was my dad's 1977 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab with and 8 foot bed.

1. Strip all components and powder coat the frame & get new components 9/10 speed and new wheels.
2. Build a new set of wheels and keep the old 8 speed.
3. Just replace the rim and do nothing else.
Or
4. Just hang this bike on the wall as a display piece and get a ritchey steel frame and build it uo

This one looks garaged. Cars that sit out here would loose all that plastic trim, bumper ends, etc.

Only which ever one Tom was. Ray didn’t work at the garage. LSS went to grad school at MIT and it was within walking distance from her office. This was before they went national and their show on the WBUR was much sillier and somewhat less car related.

Bizarrely, that show continued to run on local public radio until a few months ago.

Paint > powdercoat in most situations. Rust under powder coat is a matter of "when" rather than "if".

I liked the headlight wipers. I've driven when the snow piles up on the headlights and reduces their effectiveness.
