Addiction LXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I also really enjoy the different riding experience when I'm with her. I love going out for a couple hours riding fast and pretending I'm a real roadie, but an hour long ramble on a bike path where we stop all the time to take pictures is just delightful sometimes.

This reminds me that we need to get my wife a new helmet and I need to tune up her bike - the boy's bday is a week away, and one of the things that he wants is to go on a family ride. My wife hasn't ridden her bike since he was in the Burley.

Maybe I used up all of her blind trust when she got into an airplane with me on our second date

For a splinter, you just need sharp forceps that have some ridges in them. Easy peasy. If you don't have that, you can get away with a sewing needle.

We (in the chilly heartland) count too!

Surgery complete. I ended up using one of my hefty syringe needles. No post-op nurse to care for my foot. Sad.

Nice! Had that been Fed Ex, it would sit there until the promised day of delivery.

Fortunately stitches are not required. Or a bone saw.

FedEx would let you sit there waiting, and then turn the package over to USPS for delivery the next day.
