I think I’m going to have to get one.

The review says it's heavy and rattles. No thanks.

The Route Werks bag
684 grams and a capacity of 3.2L

The Ortlieb Ultimate 6 Free
524g and a capacity of 5L

The Ortlieb Ultimate 6 Plus
466g and a capacity of 5L

The two Ortlieb bags are 5.5 to 7.5 oz lighter and have a bigger capacity
With an Ortlieb where would I mount my Garmin Edge Explorer? Would the out front mount I am using right now still work with the Ortlieb?

The other advantage that the Route Werks might have is the easy open top. I have never owned the Ortlieb so how easy is it to open?

The Ortlieb mount takes up about 6" of handlebar space, including the hole in the middle for the stem. My Garmin mounts go right outside the Ortlieb mounts.

My Ortlieb hb bag is an older model, and it's a bit fiddly to get the snaps open sometimes. OTOH it keeps things inside dry in heavy rain.

Are you using the Garmin out front mount?
If so, does the Garmin location make it difficult to open the Ortlieb with the Garmin in place

I have a Routewerks bag and used it on a recent 1-week tour. It's smaller than most bags, but works for carrying my valuables (wallet, GPS, camera, phone) without having to dismount anything, since it has mounts for the electronics.

It doesn't rattle for me. If you only want a small bag, it is excellent.
