3 hours on the fat bike and then a bunch of laps of the fat bike crit course I made around my house (down three sets of steps to the lake, then up the zig zag mulch bed and around again) to button up a 14 hour, 700 TSS week.

About 2 1/2 hours in the rain. Planned to climb to the top of Oak Glen but at 4000 ft the fog was zero visibility. I can share a narrow country road with cars going 70+ when its clear out, but when its foggy and they're still going that fast forget it. Oh, the hail sucked too.

Used to live off Skyline and Sharp Park near SF (for you NorCal peeps) and the fog was bad enough there we saw quite a few collisions, and some just randomly driving off cliffs.

AV A-Ride today. @aaronmcd was there. I am getting tantalizingly close to the 20mph avg speed coastal ride. 19.6 today.

4ish hrs with @globecanvas and a mutual friend, at a gentlemanly pace. Beautiful route. Felt good enough to feel like a slacker for not riding more afterwards.

1hr last night on zwift, tried to do essentially do a 20min test, of course I failed as I tend to do with it, and start off hot and then settle into my actual threshold. I guess the good news is that I adjusted my threshold up 5w finally. Traveling out of state tomorrow so I've got an actual rest week ahead. Unsure whether I'll be able to race Monday or not, but at least I'll be rested for it

This will be Day 5 off the bike or something absurd like that. I'll try and prevent that with an easy spin or something when I get home. Gotta shake off the last bit of this cold and get going again.

Mounted up some tubeless CX tires with the girlfriend on Saturday, then we went out to a state park and tooled around on some sandy fire roads and single track on Sunday. It took me a little while but I got back in the swing of dismounts, run-ups and remounts. I may actually race some CX now.

more of the strength work sandwiched between two tempo sessions on the rollers. 3 hours total. Totally wrecked. Hovering in the -20s.

Some strength work today. Adding 1-leg box jumps to the routine. Left leg is a loser!

Also I am going to need something adjustable to jump onto once I outgrow this wooden chest.

I thought I needed a higher box. Truth is deep in a workout 24" is enough.

How many jumps do you do? I did 3x10 per leg today but I'm wondering if that's too much.

Higher boxes just make you lift your legs up more at the top of the jump. You can use whatever you have around or just jump sans box

Confused!

Got a date with a bike fit guy too. See if we can get me slippery in the wind without screwing up my climbing.
