Yay xmas presents upgrade

The kids bought me the R8000 mechanical rim groupset with the 32 cassette for the ol 2014 CX, my first upgrade was a carbon fork and 105 wheelset. Mostly I favor this old bike because it the best fitting bike I've owned. Its oh so comfortable. And the color,I love the color it makes me happy ,she's so pretty !

Excellent gift. Mine got me a couple pairs of new gloves I needed and some Tailwind Endurance mix I like. I should have mention a early present when I bought the rim brake version of the eTap AXS in Nov..... LOL.

Absolutely. I upgraded my 2016 Emonda ALR... bike fits me like a glove and has such an excellent ride quality. I might change my carbon frame bikes , but this is my keeper bike.

I feel the same about this Motobecane CX,it just fits so perfect I'm afraid to spend a fortune on a disc frame because it might not be as comfortable.

Agree with you. I had a 2021 Domane SLR 7, that I liked, but I did not love. I recently bought a 2023 Domane SLR 7 eTap after I found the ride so much more enjoyable and comfortable. The geometry are exactly the same, but they removed the front IsoSpeed and eliminated the adjustable IsoSpeed in the back. It was a major improvement to me so it was worth the change.

I think my next bike will be used. I want to ride it and make sure it's in the fit comfort zone. Then do upgrades as needed.
