If I'm reading sticker on fork right in pic, a Suntour M3000 doesn't have a lockout or any adjustments. Bummer but not end of world.

Hi, I just joined the forum a few days ago. I came across it whilst trying to ID a bike I was thinking about buying. I was a pretty serious rider during the 80's and 90's but like many, marriage and kids became more fun. I still have my trusty '93 Litespeed Classic as well as a '89-ish Fuso that was on a computrainer (mostly unused for MANY years) until recently. I started out in the early 80's riding mountain bikes but switched to riding road almost exclusively in the mid 80's when I bought a Trek 560EX. Even though my riding the past 15 years has been mostly on a mountain bike towing a Burley trailer with my boys or on one of the local bike paths, I always stop to look at or buy cool bikes when I see them. Anyway, now that the kids are older teens, I've recently caught the bug again. I've bought 5 or 6 great bikes in the past few months including a Felt cyclocross, a newer Stumpjumper (my current fav), a 2001 Klein, a California Masi and the latest one, a Derosa, I guess. Definitely a work in progress, it needs a lot of help. Thanks for letting me check out all the great bikes and knowledge. Brad

I don't believe Ralph Nader would approve of the shifters on this bike

my Montague X70 came with maybe a mid-range shocked fork w/lockout but I don't really need a shocked fork. Cured with a Surly fork and can mount water cages, front racks or Salsa Anything Cages. The air smells sweeter now.

Hopefully I can post these now. I just picked this up a few days ago. Derosa. Early 80's I think.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the model or year of this bike? My guess is 80 or 81. Any help would be appreciated.
