Addiction LXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Fixt.

Hills, wind, chipseal, gravel, drafting... there are lots of things that make distance a weird metric to focus on. But, here we are.

That could be fun. I'll post mine, or maybe stick them in the Strava title.

I'm quite upset that I have a Wednesday morning meeting that'll prevent any real riding. That'll be a swim day.

I was at 7228 kj for the week. That seems like a decent amount for a schlub.

Unless I'm going a really long way (like longer than I've ever gone) and have to have dry butt, I'll just embrace the suck or stay inside. Cyclocross is great training for the former.

Yeah that's a good number. This being a slacky week was 5673 for me. Next week will be better.

Welp, I dusted off ye olde Claris-level telescope and using google maps scouted my viewing location for the comet, made plans for a pie and coffee stop on the way out of town, but it looks like the clouds are gonna stick around all evening
