Tubeless Rim Tape

I’ve been running into some problems with my tubeless set up. I’m running 3T C60 Team wheelset and everytime I go to refill my tires with sealant I end up having to retape them (I just remove the valve core but the bead loses its seal when I remove the air and it won’t seal again). I’m wondering what suggestions you have and what are your favorite tubeless rim tape options for 21-23mm. Thanks in advance.

DT Swiss is the best tape I've used - it's got a little bit of stretch, which makes it easy to install and it contours nicely to the rim bed.

Some folks have used Kapton tape but I didn't like the stuff I tried. It crinkled and wouldn't lay flat. I had good luck with Pacenti tape, nice blue color.

There's a difference in rim tape? I always assumed it's all basically the same stuff in different packages.

That was pretty much my experience... until I tried DT Swiss.

You shouldn't loose the bead when you let the air out. Add an extra layer of tape and if that doesn't stop it add another until it does stop.

You are leaving something out here. Why are you re-taping? What is that changing? If you were able to set the tire up with that tape the first time, I can’t see why it would be different the second time. It is pulling off?

Even if you loose the bead, you should just be able to re-seat it again. Does your tape go edge to edge?
