I love dodging cars. It's a pastime or something. That aside, it has everything. My rides regularly spanned DC VA and MD, which was cool. Rolling hills through neighborhoods, that's something we don't have out here. Plus I mean, riding at night in a city on a brakeless fixed gear is just such a free-feeling activity.

I know you guys are all on tenterhooks regarding the weather for my big ride tomorrow, so let me set your minds at ease: temps should range from 50ish to 80ish, 0% chance precip, light winds am picking up to 10ish mph by afternoon. High humidity at the start (96%) when its cool but declining to 40% by afternoon as it warms up.
To summarize: that's some lucky weather.

Not likely. This is not a race, but it is a timed event, the first of a series of 3 rides over the next 6 weeks. I'm trying for my best possible placement for the series, hopefully I'll break into the women's top 10. So if I'm going to have decent weather tomorrow, I'll try to make time, the other two rides might wind up wicked hot and slow me down.

It's really steep, it gets up to 17% or something, and that's after two other killer hills of similar caliber. Fun going down though.
