Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We just got aprons at my two bike shoppe jobs. Although some race promoters gave us hats one day!

Here we go again. Back to mask wearing. I've heard the " it's like trying to stop mosquitos with a chain link fence" argument 3 times in 15 minutes. How do you combat that kind of logic?

I’ve been wearing a mask again inside public places like stores for a couple of weeks even though I got vaccinated back in May. Got an 11 hour Amtrak ride scheduled for September. That will be a challenge.

My wish for people that are anti-vax and get COVID19 is not that they are seriously harmed. My hope is that they have a full recovery and start spreading the word to get vaccinated.

Exactly. My wife got a report overnight that the poor woman is breathing a little better so hopefully she’ll recover

Well, tbh I feel that there at least needs to be sufficient suffering along the way, otherwise they'll triple-down on their stance and prolly shout it even more loudly.

Since we're all vaccinated down at the shop, we stopped wearing masks at work when the CDC guideline changed. That lasted the month of July. We went back to masking up at work last week.

Otherwise a fast and fun boat. Not normally equipped with bike propulsion.

Closest thing is Annapolis-Newport and that’s just an offshore sailing race, not

like the Iditarod, on a boat, with a chance of drowning, being run down by a freighter, or eaten by a grizzly bear.
Yeesh!

Also no cash and usually warmer.

Interesting I wasn't aware this existed in the 510. However, the way I read it for the 510, it's not a light mode, just a radar tracking mode. ie. I couldn't find any mention that there's any change to the light intensity or flashing behavior, only that a following bicyclist is able to be tracked, without the threat level color bars being lit up until a fast approaching vehicle shows up.
