Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I used to lust after the Times hanging in the window at R&A in Brooklyn in the early 2010s. I haven't seen anything from them in a while, though; I should see what they've got going on.

I used to lust after the Times online at R&A. And the Looks early on at Excel.

Here is our temple of pain.

The TV is a 65" Sony OLED 4K, but I will say that the quality of the TV really adds nothing to Zwift. It just happened to get moved to that room when we redecorated the family room. Laptop connects to it via HDMI.

I'd like to get rid of the weight machine and get something like a Tonal.

Two models, essentially, and no fully internal/integrated cockpits.

The LBS that I bought mine from still sells the brand. Everyone I've known who rides one really likes it. Personally, I think my old Time handles better in corners than my Storck.

The roads would be a better place if everyone drove a Saturn, or similar vehicle. The speed maniacs and monster trucks can all go jump in a lake.

I'd have to move the screen farther away - I'd drip sweat all over it!

Might be time for datas and mrs. datlas to upgrade their vehicles. Semi retirement is more enjoyable if you're around for it.

Climate change again. Collecting sap is heavily dependent on the temperature, it has to drop below freezing overnight and warm above freezing during the day to produce sap

Not really. You'd just then have a bunch of idiots driving around in cars that kill or maim their occupants in a crash.

Dude rides thousands of miles unprotected from anything on a bicycle. But his Saturn's side impact protection, now there's the big risk.

Did you know that of the cycling deaths in 2019 for those 16 and older, 21% were legally intoxicated. One-fifth of deaths while riding were drunk.

Until the Storck showed up last December, the Time was my only road bike, and was getting used for everything. Since adding the Storck to my stable last Dec, the Time has become my trainer bike because it's the best option for that duty. I recently added a 2001 Colnago aluminum bike to the flock, but it's 9-speed, and my trainer wheel is currently wearing a 10-speed cassette.
