Many of us here don't think a 1982 product is an antique. And a few might take issue with your only offering negative choices to pick from. One more example of highly biased polls. Andy

...if you Google "local bike co-op" for your location, this is just the sort of bicycle they would love to receive as a donation. Not sure you could sell it for much, and you have neglected to describe its current condition. If nothing else, it's probably good for parts.
Is "cenial" your variation on "senile"? If so, points for creativity in trolling.

Bike is a little too new to be antique it is the interesting Suntour BL group which is a mid tier groupset but had a cool blue line going through it and used a lot of tech from older derailleurs so not great but not terrible.
Not sure why the need for all negativity on the pole but you clearly don't like that bike so I would just leave it where it is or donate it to a local charity or bike co-op.
Also just FYI it is seniel and the bike is made of steel Columbus Tubi I believe but don't quote me on that. Not a great bike but not just another bottom of the barrel bike boom era bike (since it was after that)
Also another useful point they would have used a Swiss bottom bracket in case someone wants to know, as of this posting IRD and Phil Wood make Swiss Bottom Brackets that are quite decent.

Reason for my negativity
i never bought anything used except for this house.so anything that is older then 5 yrs is junk to me.

What is a vintage bike good for? Same thing any bike is good for, riding.
No reason to be a snob when your palate isn't refined enough to tell good wine from wet cardboard.
Cheers.

Seems OP, who doesn't ride or even like bikes, went to lots of trouble to join Bike Forums. Best I can tell, he wants to know whether he should junk the bike or give it away. Yes, the poll is unfortunate and ill conceived. Nevertheless, the bike should be moved on/given away. It may be useful to someone. Co-op preferably or Goodwill, etc.

Update
[I came in here cuz i was looking for a shop to fix it. But i found this crazy place thought i would play it. I have decided to put the bike behind the car of the people i bought this house from so they can run it over when they get up in the morning to go to work.

..."negativity on the pole" is when the guys you're dancing for are not making it rain fives and tens. Don't ask how I know this.
