Trek Marlin 5 vs. Cannondale Quick 5

I am a 52 year old male in good shape, I am going to ditch my mountain bike and get a hybrid for beach path riding longer distances, does anyone have an opinion about which bike is better suited for that purpose? They are similarly priced, so I don’t know which to choose. Thanks!

Marlin is a MTB. Quick 5 is more urban bike. I would go with Quick 5 because it will be lighter and quicker and less bulky.

I wouldn't ditch the mtb, I use my Quick 5 mainly at Gulf Shores bike paths and road routes. I love it, but due to skinny road tires, you'll be limited to any off road activity. Therefore, I have an mtb for other riding
