Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seat post clamp

I currently am using a Specialized road bike seat post which has a 2 bolt clamp for 38mm rails on my saddle. However, I have a San Marco aspide seat, which has 41mm rail width. Normally I would just bend the rails, but they're made of carbon fiber which would break it. Does anyone know where I could find a bigger piece? Thank you

That will be your saddle clamp. Seat post clamp is the one on the seat tube that holds the seat post secure.

I don't know that any make replaceable parts for different types of rails or widths. So you probably need to get an entire seat post with the appropriate type of clamp and especially for carbon rails if those are carbon rails.

How are you measuring those rails on both saddles? The standard has been 44 mm width. I don't see that SelleSanMarco says that they deviate from standard.

How old is that Spesh saddle and/or post? My Specialized saddle measures 44 mm center to center for the rails.

Yeah, not understanding this, unless Specialized does their own proprietary saddle-rail width and clamp combos. My Aspide had rails the same as any other brand i've stuck in my clamp, including Brooks, Fizik, Selle Italia, Fabric, etc
