Almost as good as "googling" the question.

Craiyon.com has an AI engine that generates images for prompts you enter. So I typed in "A vintage bicycle being restored". Here are some of the results:
I'm really enjoying the elegant sweep of the chainstays/seatstays/tentacled horror in that last picture.

I was kicking the virtual tires of ChatGPT, an AI chat system today. I thought I'd be clever and ask something obscure and fuzzy: "Why is restoring vintage bicycles satisfying to some people?" The results took about 10 seconds to returned and kind of surprised me. Not so sure about the welding and upholstery part but overall it's fairly on-point, and that's a little unsettling.

I just realized I might be a bot. I've been accused of telling the same stories over and over again.

I've had a theory for a while now that the machines will probably take over well before we noticed that they had and that, in fact, this may have already happened. But it never even occurred to me to suspect that one of my good friends might be a bot. Fiendishly clever, those/you machines.
