Disc brake pads: compatible replacements
My L03A pads are worn out and I just noticed these Shimano parts are impossible to find right now.
It also appears they retired the L03A and replaced them with L05A (which are also out of stock everywhere).
What compatible options do I have? I am not certain I need the cooling fins (I'd appreciate some knowledge on this), but I definitely need them to be a) effective and b) silent.
Can I go with Decathlon (cheap) parts? Kool Stop? SwissStop (these are rather expensive)? Jagwire?
I'd appreciate your knowledge and experience.
Thanks

I'm in Europe so the shipping might be too much for some pads.
And I have zero information on this product, are they any good?

Here is one European (Italy) source that claims to have them in stock: https://www.gambacicli.com/en/shiman...hoCRR0QAvD_BwE
BTW, for new posters, it would be useful to tell us where you are located, at least generally, particularly if you aren't in the USA. It would save getting replies you can't use.

I was mainly aiming for info on alternative products that I can source myself afterwards.
I will check on that Italian site, thank you.

Since you are in Europe, I would consider SwissStop.
I have no experience with their disc pads but my experience with they rim pads has been to great that I got here looking for information on swissstop disc brake pads experience.
BTW, IME the extra cost is more than exceeded by their performance.

I replaced Shimano with Nukeproof organic pads. No complaints at all.
