Great to be here.
Hello everyone,
In the south of England.I have been on the sidelines for too long on this forum. If I have to find a cycling answer I can normally find it here. Love all things mechanical and analogue, my verniers never need the battery replacing lol! Love building wheels. I have a 1980 Gitane Sprint and hopefully in the post tomorrow a 1977 Motobécane C4/5 frame and forks…you know the story, photos on ebay, is it, or isn’t it….ah what the hell, I mean I had to take the chance….! Yes, got a thing for French bikes and their quirky ways. Ciao.

Well thank you the real Fred! Lol, I used to know a Fred who drove a road-sweeper truck (he liked/played cricket as well, don’t ask me to explain the rules lol).He had to drive from the UK to Gibraltar in his road-sweeper to work with a construction company re-working the airport runway. He went up and down for weeks, until one day he fell asleep at the wheel (no drivers hours on a job like that) and plunged off the runway intothe into the sea and remembers waking up to a lot of bubbles before swimming to the surface! Look at the airport, it crosses the only road going from the mainland, quite a place to visit, the apes are something else as well!

The UK has such wonderful cycling roads, at least from all the videos I’ve seen. You are lucky to live in such a beautiful country. Welcome
