Asking for my wife. She fell and badly sprained her wrist five weeks ago. It's being treated by a local massage therapist. Just this week she's experiencing numbness in her fingertips, and is wondering if she should be concerned.

Dirt.
I raced Koppenberg finally. It has a few miles of dirt with a pesky 17% dirt hill tossed in for fun. I pre-rode it the day before, because there's also a screaming downhill section that's also dirt, that they were kind enough to grade. That turned it into loose gravel-ish type stuff, and I wanted to see how bad it was. Climbing that hill, I learned I better not stand up, because I definitely spun the back wheel, and tipped over like the trike on Laugh-In. If that happened in the race, there's no getting back on, so climbing while sitting was my only option. The gravel road was as promised, as well. A little trail of hard pack, but if you needed to pass someone, it was hang on, and get in the loose stuff. I learned what not to do, and will be better next year. 13th, and I'm pretty OK with that.
The day before was a crit. I just wasn't feeling it. Legs were slow, and just had to work my can off to stay in the pack. I couldn't position myself well, was getting caught behind slow cornering people, and just not as much fun as usual. 10th.
A little taste of said hill.

All four. And not really numbness, but tingling. Welcome back, Mo. When she types, her tactile senses are off.

After feeling increasingly detached from work over the last month or more, I decided to look up "Pandemic Burnout". Danged if they weren't describing ME!

Yesterday I took the mountain bike out for a couple hours on some local hills. I was bouncing my way up a steep, rocky grade and some young hikers were coming down toward me. Seeing me flail about they got off the trail and started cheering me on. One of the girls said something about being impressed and a guy said " he has the gears for it". Then another guy said "he has the mustache for it". I said "gotta have a mustache" and they all laughed.
