... you know it ain't easy, you know how hard it can be ...

March 1969, the Amsterdam Hilton.

Off bed with the white bike from Provo, they had an early bike-sharing plan. Did not succeed.

John Fogerty grew up in the town a few hundred meters to the north of me, El Cerrito California.

Back in the Spanish land grant days El Cerrito and my town of Albany were part of the same parcel.

Ironically El Cerrito (the little hill) is named for what is termed in English Albany Hill, although Albany Hill is not within the city limits nor even the same county.

When it was decided to split the parcel in two El Cerrito ended up as the southwestern most municipality of the county of Contra Costa and Albany the most northwestern one of the county of Alameda. So their border is also a county one.

One other famous El Cerritoan is the film maker Les Blank, creator of Garlic Is As Good As Ten Mothers -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garlic...as_Ten_Mothers

the city is also the resting place for American actor Robert Culp, although he grew up in neighbouring Berkeley California.

That song predates the band by a decade or more. Original release by Charlie Ryan, as far as I know. First record I bought.

Geeze...... My oldest brother had that record in the early 70's.....
I can't forget that album cover. I could not relate to the music being so young, but something about the "Cosmo's Factory" title on the album cover attracted me to it.....

Yea , I think it was a Schwinn Varsity and I was riding a root beer brown one at that time and thought I was cool when I got the record and became validated.
