Tire sealant in tubes?
Is it beneficial to add some sealant in my tubes for extra protection?
Thanks for any input.

That depends on how often you’re flatting. Even then, I’d try other things first (different air pressures, different tubes, different tires).

That's a great article. I was looking at this as more of a preventative or some help until I get home on quicker rides. If on longer rides, things get out of hand and the sealant doesn't seal, then I also carry a spare tube.

Muc-Off makes an inner tube specific sealant.

I do. Works well for low pressure applications like MTB and gravel. For road slicks with high psi you might lose too much air before the sealant does its thing.

When you do get a large puncture which the sealant wont seal, you take the tube out to patch it, and the other holes may start leaking. So you may patch several holes. I patch the larger holes, and leave the very small holes for the sealant to seal again.
Be aware, when patching punctures, some sealant may leak out, and prevent the patches from sticking. You need to squeeze out any sealant near the hole, before patching.
Where I am, I may get a small puncture which the sealant seals maybe once a month, and a large puncture which the sealant wont seal maybe once a year. To only patch a tube once a year, instead of once a month is worthwhile.
