FS: Veloce Frameset Reynolds 531 61cm Square 650b/700c
I've got a one-of-a-kind Veloce frame built with Reynolds 531 steel by John Stinsman. The original fork was damaged in shipping, so it now has a new chrome Tange fork, which actually fits the paint scheme well in my opinion. Lots of lovely details like the V on the brake bridge and the Veloce engraved seat stays. Beautiful thin lugs and cool paint in 7/10 condition with some scuffs and scrapes here and there.
John Stinsman is from Allentown, PA. John was a builder back in the '70s through the early '90s and built bikes for the track, tandems, and road. He even built a pursuit track bike for Bobby Livingston to ride in the 88 Seoul Olympics to give you an idea of his skill level.
The unique modifications: The frame was designed for 700c wheels, but the chainstays have been modified to fit a 650b x 42mm tire. 650b x 38mm tires and fenders. I'm not sure what the max 700c wheel size is, but it came to me with 700c x 25mm tires. Spacing has been updated to 130mm from 126mm
Seat tube: 61cm center to center, 62cm center to top
Top tube: 61cm center to center
Saddle height as pictured: 83.5cm
Spacing: 100mm front/130mm rear
I'm 6'4" for reference, so someone between 6-6'5" would fit this frame. It has a relatively long top tube compared to tall bikes of this era, which is a big plus.
Complete build shown not available. $250 plus shipping for Frame/Fork
Frame with 650b x 42mm tires
More Photos here.
