I've been cranking the two new Chemical Brothers singles from their June 7th album "Further".

"Escape Velocity"
"Swoon"

Both you can hear on youtube.

I don't listen to music while I ride because I'm scared of not hearing traffic. Although I saw a guy on a mountain bike with some sort of megaphone contraption in the bottle cage that seemed to be working really well. I want one.

Cavity
Facedownin****
Outlaw Order

But really though, I don't listen to music while riding with the exception of the trainer at the gym, in which case I've been listening to a mixture of:

Violation
Foundation
Naysayer
Down to Nothing

I don't know why it makes me want to spin faster, but those aren't necessarily my favorite bands and I don't listen to them a lot outside of the gym.

Alternate betwen stuff like MGMT, Sigur Ros, Black Flag, The Hives, Mum, Jack Johnson and opera (I kid you not, my wife is an opera singer and after you are forced to listen to it for long enough you end up liking it...well, perhaps not, but I did).

I never listen to anything while riding though, since getting knocked off my BMX as a kid while wearing a walkman. I save it for the train journeys, car and home.

I downloaded some Cavity a while ago and haven't had a real chance to listen.
Have you seen the trailer for Crom's documentary?

When I'm lazy, I listen to:

Bad Brains
Grails
Crom
Baroness
Dystopia
Minor Threat

Early Cavity is the best stuff. The Crom documentary is going to rule. I've been friends with Phil and Scott forever so I've known it's been coming for a while now. I hope they get around to actually finishing it.

I can't believe I left Bad Brains off my list! I've been listening to that band on a daily basis since 1983. To make up for it, here's a pic of me & HR on a cruise ship in NY Harbor from a few years back:
