7,406 miles for 2016.
2016 was my first full year of retirement, and I wanted to establish a new mileage record. The old record was 7,206 in 2012 while I was working full time.
Happy New Year!

Kit doesn't match
Best I could recall, 2016 similar to 2015, so I thought I would check. Total riding time in 2016 within 1.5 hours of 2015 -- whoa.

Not my best year...renovating the house cut into a large portion of weekend cycling time.
This also includes Zwift. Virtual miles and burnt calories still count as hours on the bike in my book.

2,097 miles. I think 10 may have been on a trainer. Looking to get in another 20 or so before midnight tonight (New Years' Eve).
Kind of bummed, as its about 1,200 miles less than last year; and I certainly missed my 2016 goal. Well, that's what New Years resolutions are for!

Alright, just completed my last ride of the year. 7,724 miles outside. I shamefully have had to log another 136 miles on the trainer due to too much bad weather. I hate using that thing.

Bike computer says 964...
I'm kind of bummed I didn't get to 1000, but I have good excuses...
1. I did have about 200 equivalent miles on the trainer.
2. My bike computer broke mid-December, which ended my mileage counting for the year. I rode that bike once more after that, but it still wouldn't have gotten to 1K.
3. Most of all, I have another, vintage, road bike with no computer that I rode occasionally since mid-summer, which I'm sure totals more than 50 miles, so I'm going to say I rode a bit over 1000 in 2016.

7002.3 mi, not including about 100 miles of computrainer rides last winter and 8 miles of a 109 mile ride where I forgot to restart my garmin. The last time I hit 7000 miles was about 14-15 years ago, before I got married. After years of riding with pain last year they found a lateral bulge at L4-L5. A mild winter and 2 rounds of PT (along with full stretching/core routine) and I'm riding stronger than I ever have.

2009 miles for me since I started cycling in July. I think it is a pretty good total considering those first weeks built up 10-20-30-40 miles and so on.

My best year to date for sure; At least 1,000 miles every month, at least one century each month and one everesting ride.

2,548 for the year which includes 2,100 with my wife on our tandem. I'm glad to do those 20 and 30 mile rides to be riding together. We've been riding the tandem now for several and it has been fun seeing her get comfortable riding and consider herself as a cyclist now. When our daughters were home they had things that the "girls" liked to do which gave me lots of opportunities to ride When we emptied the nest all of a sudden my ridding opportunities went down thus the tandem and all is good.

8370. Two centuries, two double metrics, two double centuries (the last including the two highest paved peaks in the SF Bay Area) all solo unsupported.
Including trainer rides where I'd have gone farther outdoors - its resistance curve is calibrated for a rider 15-25 pounds heaver headed up a never-ending 1% climb and reported distance is lower at the same average power as my workday rides.
But not very many - with no surgeries I didn't get stuck indoors under doctor's orders, and only avoided riding outside when it was actually raining when I left.
