Yeah, I read about these and went from giddy to meh in a matter of a few sentences.

No sizes other than 25mm. I could use them on one of my updated 80s road bikes with limited clearance, or not since those also get limited miles in part due to the limited clearance.
Lame.
Hopefully tons of people still buy out the inventory, Conti decides this is a good thing, and invests in expanding the size offerings.

Gumwalls are indeed sexy, but at that price I don't think so. I recently purchased 6 black GP5000's for $35 each.

I’ve never understood the fascination with gum wall tires. Will someone please tell me why they’re supposedly so cool, since, well, they’re not black? For what it’s worth, I’ve never truly appreciated sideburns or bell bottoms, either.

Pay big money for carbon wheels to get that all-black look... then get gum-wall tires to put the lighter strip back on.

All a matter of taste for sure but to me cream or tan side walls look awful and I'd pay extra not to have them if required.

I think Luigi says it best when talking about blackwalls.

Going to pivot, but I started the thread so I'll give myself a pass... Any experience with Turbo Cottons? They have a similar style. Very pleased with the performance of GP 5000's but I can snag a set of Turbo Cottons in 700x28 (my preferred riding size) however, they're pricey.

FYI, Excel Sports just posted a pic of the cream sidewall GP5ks to their Insta account, so they'll probably have some on hand shortly, too.

I use TCs on my Venge. Lovely wheels and they "feel" more enjoyable to ride on than GP5ks (placebo? My disdain for GP4ks carrying over? Shrug). As per BRR, they are a few watts slower than GP5ks. As per Aerocoach, they are comparable. Be that as it may, I really enjoy riding them.
