Please help identify this bike brand

I can't identify this brand/logo that's on the steerer tube of a fork for a steel track/SS frame. It looks like a "K" to me. Anyone recognize this?

Thank you

is there anything stamped under the bottom bracket or on the front base of the seat tube?

Not sure what I am looking at there ... it looks like a seat post but it looks like it is stuffed into a headset. It looks way too long to be the steerer on a threadless fork ... but i could be wrong there, too.

Thank you, bboy314. Looks like a promising lead, and I was unaware of the company. Turns out they started out making forks. I reached out to the company to see if they recognize the branding.

Thanks!

This is a picture of a steerer tube. The branding is just above the lower bearing race, which you can see in the images.

Did you even read the post?

How old is the bike? I don't think Kinesis have been around all that long.

A popular American builder from the 70's was Tom Kellog. I can't connect the "K" to anything Tom built though.

Good call, Mr. Cyccommute. I thought it might have been a Kalloy seat post ... but the logo didn't match. I never even thought of Kinesis.

Related and also in response to bboy314, the Kinesis UK team reached out and confirmed that no one there recognizes the logo. Apparently there is a separate Taiwanese subsidiary that might have used the logo. I've reached out to them also, but I now have doubts that it's from Kinesis.

Thanks everyone for weighing in.

I don't know the answer to this unfortunately. I was gifted the bike by someone I'm no longer in contact with.

From what I could find, I did not see any Tom Kellog or "Spectrum" bikes made by him that have any similar branding. Thanks for your input though, Dolanarc1.

Yes. That’s the one I was referring to. It’s close enough.

Kinesis has been around for a long time. Started in 1989 by former Giant bicycle employees. They made (and make) a lot of bikes that are rebadged.

Yes, like bboy314 noted, older Kinesis have similar logos. Unfortunately that's not conclusive. Thanks for the history.

It's also possible that only the fork is made by Kinesis. Kinesis made a lot of carbon and aluminum forks and they were widely used by many manufacturers.

Define long? Kinesis has been around since at least the 90s. Given this, I'd expect their logo to have undergone some evolution.

Edit: just saw the other post indicating 1989.

Yes, this is only a fork.
