I barely made 100 miles last month with the two eye surgeries and 3 weeks running around England, Scotland, and Wales. I may have yet another eye surgery late this month but I hope to get at least 300 miles in by then.

03/01 - 32.6 miles

MTD: 32.6 miles
GOAL: 300 miles

March Goal: 240 miles

3/1 - 12.0 miles (Trek FX2)

March Total to Date: 12.0 miles

I had very limited time to ride today, but wasn't going to take a zero on Day 1 of March - especially with the weather forecast calling for rain tomorrow.

2023 total to date: 379.7 miles
2023 Goal: 2,000 miles

All my miles are outdoor miles.

3/2 - 15.4 mi.

MTD: 15.4
Monthly Goal: 250 mi.

Intense rain, not to mention hail, in Southern California, coupled with a lingering cold the last two weeks precluded my hitting the 250-mile goal I set for last month, let's see if I can do it in March. Two weeks off the bike makes for a rough restart, today was not fun for the most part, but the new rear wheel offered some consolation, it's quite nice.

Will go with 150 miles again for March. April is when I think I can start increasing the mileage.

MTD: 39.5
Monthly Goal: 250 mi.

It rained fairly hard on the drive out to the Rose Bowl, but the monthly Vintage Ride would not be denied. The weather held all the way, and wasn't even all that cold. Of course, now it's sprinkling at my house, let's see how soon I can ride again.

This month's goal is 540km. Might be a little ambitious for me but the days are getting longer, the snow is gone, so maybe?

Last week was 34.6km,-1.8lbs, 513kms, -13.4lbs ytd.

Having a hard time ramping up my miles. You know when you have a day where you can tell you're just a little stronger than you have been? I hope I have one of those days soon.

I know that feeling. It seems as if you'll never get it back, but when you do.....it feels sooooooo good!!!

Making mileage a goal and yardstick of cycling success is lame, use fun instead.

This week 36kms, 71 mtd, 549 ytd
+1lbs, -2 mtd, -12.4 ytd

Not a good week for me. I had my dental procedure early in the week, no cycling for 3-5 days. Only soft foods like bananas, eggs, and ice cream. Well, I did watch a movie yesterday so I also ate some popcorn.

On the plus side I only gained 1 lb even with all the ice cream. Looking forward to getting the stitches out this week and enjoying some of this daylight and weather.

March goal - 420 miles
March to date - 126 miles

All miles indoors on the trainer road to nowhere. Unfortunately the weather forecast in Chicago sucks. Next week is all 30s/40s except for one day that hits 50 with windchill in 30s. So I’ll be stuck on trainer for awhile. Still energized by longer days knowing that warmer weather is closer and wanting to be ready to pour on miles when it’s arrives.
