Anybody in the Bay Area have a frame and fork laying around that I can make a college bike? 54-56cm top tube would work best.

Wanted: Looking for a 52 or 53cm steel road frame or complete STI/Ergo equipped bike in a sport-touring (century) geometry. Needs to have English threads. I'm building up a low buck century bike for a friend coming in from overseas on vacation. One of the recent 520 framed Schwinn LeTour Classic/Legacy would be perfect.

Have:
-Lots of Shimano and Mavic drivetrain parts.
-Consumables.
-1988 Peugeot Triathlon 60cm with gumbo drivetrain and stunning "Sonny Crockett's Laundry Basket" purple-white-orange-yellow paint.
-Ascent fluid resistance trainer
-A significant quantity of the free world's supply of Yakima fork mount roof racks. I'm not PCSing again with a fleet....

I actually realized I was being silly, I've done a shifter setup on the bars before. Thank you for the offer though.

UPDATED....

Have:

-Chris King 1" threaded headset. "Sotto Voce" Silver. (missing crown race, but available online for $12..) Cosmetically well used but functionally fine.
-Crankset, Shimano 105/5500, triple.
-Crankset, RPM, triple. Comes with BB. Upgraded black 53T ring. Not race quality but would make a nice crankset for a town bike.
-Front Derailleur, Shimano 105/1050, double.
-Front Hub, 105/5500. Very good-Exc. condition.
-DT Shifters, Shimano 105/1050. Silver w/black "105" etching. 7spd I believe.
-Shimano 105 Brake levers, gunmetal with "super SLR" black hoods. Not perfect but in damn good condition.
-Rear Derailleur, Suntour Cyclone Mk II, short cage.
-Suntour brake levers, non-integrated cabling (so, old school, top feed). Exc. condition other than the pantographing being worn off.
-Freewheel, Maeda Industries, for Suntour, 6 spd (12-25 I think), in very good shape.
-Wheelset, 700c, mid-80's vintage, built on Araya 36h rims, mid flange Sanshin hubs. Almost showroom condition.
-Jamis Aurora frame. 53cm (but keep in mind that this is a touring frame. Standover height and wheelbase is more like a 56cm road bike.
-700X30c cyclocross tires. Kenda Quick. Gumwall. Plenty of miles left.
-TIME pedals (white/red)
-LOOK pedals (white)
-various Shimano SPD pedals
-A bunch of other stuff that I am not remembering right now.

ISO:

-8 spd Shimano compatible HG cassette with a big gear of between 25 and 28. Tiagra or above. Preferably 105 or above.
-A good quality CLEAN helmet (L/XL size)
-Bullhorn bars with brake levers.

[QUOTE=JohnDThompson;15666578]Need: Rivat slotted cleats, like these:

I have those cleats, but they are:
1, a bit scuffed (not quite as bad those pictured)
2, currently attached to an old pair of Bata "Triathlete" shoes, size 44, kangaroo hide, good condition...interested?

I might have a pair of (NOS) spare cleats, but it's a long-shot and will require digging...

I think I have a line on a new set of cleats; thanks! Alas, size 44 is too big for my feet.

I wasn't trying to get into a debate. And I'm not sure how it defeats it, anyways.

Wife has shown an interest in riding a vintage club bike/city cruiser. If any of you have something that resembles the following, send me a message: Higher end women's step-through frame club/city bike/cruiser for a 5'1" woman.

Looking for:
Excellent paint condition, no rust, aluminum rims (I realize many had steel and I am willing to swap them out), sturmey-archer 3 speed internally geared hub, a brooks saddle in great condition would be nice but not necessary, higher grade steel (no high-tensile etc). Prefers brighter colours (no dark greens, blacks, greys, maroon, etc). A chrome headlight with generator would be nice, doubly nice would be if it were already converted to LED. I am not sure which are superior brakes on these but I imagine caliper brakes are more reliable than rod/coaster.

I am also willing to fix something up if it is in need of it provided it can be restored to great condition and the price is right. I am not looking for a low end department store brand cruiser. I have an address in Washington state to ship the bike to or locally in Vancouver or the surrounding area.

ISO:

Girls bike (wheel size 18 in.). Must be decent quality. I could also entertain just a frame and fork, but I'd much rather get a whole bike.
I could also pay for the UPS ground shipping to get it to my house as long as sender doesn't mind boxing up.

Have:
Many different things. Check my list a few posts back. I also have other stuff that is not on the list. Thanks.

Ideally this would be 6500 series and 36h, but something equivalent would work. [Strike]32h could work, too[/Strike]. What do you have?

EDIT: 36h 6500/6600 hub would be excellent. A 105 could also work. Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks for the responses. I think I have it figured out thanks to the good Colonel.

Tricolor are nominally 8s. They could probably fit a 9, though I haven't tried. There is a ridge on the hubshell side of the freehub that limits the size and is an artefact of the uniglide design.

The rest of the drivetrain is mainly 6500 with a 6600 fd on this bike, which is why I'm aiming for that ...... plus I already have a set of 6400 32h hubs

ISO: Campy 10 or 11s carbon UT crankset...I prefer 172.5 and compact, but can use 170 or 175, as well and am open to standard. Would prefer Chorus or higher (or 2010 Athena).

Have: Beautiful silver Record 10s ST 53/39, 170mm and matching Chorus BB.
