Has anyone been crazy enough to swap one of those carbon fiber frames from ebay on their Hybrid?

I don't think I posted my bike in this thread, I have posted other places...

My 90 750 from a few years ago when I got it back from a friend who was borrowing it.

Upgraded wheels, shifters, fenders, lighting, and gearing. Still playing with the stem and bars.

So great. Those Trek lugged steel frames are one of my all-time favourites.

How is the tire clearance? I recall not exceptional, but I always wanted one for mostly off-road use. I would settle for one of the 900 - 990 series 26" wheel frames, if I ever found one in my size... which yours is!

There are 700 x 32s with fenders, so good clearance but for only off-road you'd be better off with the mtb series like you said. Be careful with the size, this is a 24" (60cm) but I ride a 19" mtb.

2020 Cube SL Road race. Got to avoid public transport during the pandemic, but as im mostly WFH, it has become my primary mode of exercise.
Had an entry level road bike (Lapierre ) and hard tail (trek) about 5 years ago but both stolen.
The term Hybrid has evolved a lot since then as this bridges the gap between my previous two bikes, something i wouldn't have thought possible a few years ago. Id put it in the flatbar gravel bike category, if such a thing exists.
Its comfortable, nippy around the town and capable on trails. Easy to spend 3-4 hours on it without realizing.

Dont like it with mudguards, but necessary with current weather. probably get longer ones as these still allow my shoes to get sprayed.
Saddlebag is there for my repair kit (multitool, tube, patches, spare link, small pump, gloves, cable-ties)

An all round good fun bike!

It was cool and very windy today along Florida's west coast. I rode 11 miles through the Weekiwachee Preserve - a former limestone quarry with 14 lakes to traverse along the way. Riding here is one of the best stress relievers around!

Very cool, great pic. I'm down in the Lutz area by 54 and need to get up there to explore. So there are some good hard pack type trails as I'm sporting 700/35s? The family wants to go there walking too.

Small world - I live in Trinity off 54 and Little Rd.
Its a great place to bike or hike. Bring provisions because there are long stretches with no shade. There's a single permanent outhouse at the end of the paved road from the parking lot - about 1 1/2 miles from the lot. I turn off the paved road maybe 1/4 mile in - theres a path to the left that gets you off the pavement and out into the lake area quickly. Get a map if you can because those traild go every which way! The first several times out there I was lost a lot of the time but have it down now. The trails are mostly hard packed and can get very bumpy. I was worried with my Sirrus since it only has 700/32s. I had previously only been there with my Crosstrail which has a front shock and 700/38's.The Sirrus handled it fine. I've actually logged over 1,000 miles out in the preserve. I highly recommend it.

What fork is that you replaced the original with? I've been thinking about replacing my suspension forks on my Traverse with rigid. I like the 1x too. Nice job.

The Roam 2 looks so much better here than on Giant's site. I've noticed some manufacturers really should do a better job of putting pictures on their sites. Looks like you have a 1x10 rather than the 1x9 Giant is now showing.

It's a nice looking bike.
