I love the sound of a freshly waxed chain in the morning

Nice to hear nothing when i ride.

Markleeville fire canceled the Death Ride today. saw lots of riders. smoke in my little valley here in Reno. Here is a shot at the top side of Geiger, normally blue...

wow, look at that elevation...

I put a like on this because a friend owns a bike shop, and love to sell chains that wear out fast when waxed. Chains are a form of machine, and need oil.

I had a bike I'd wax the chain on. As in melted in/on,, Fastest quietest ride ever.
The problem was it being too much hassle. like rewaxing every 100-200 miles.

I'd rather ride, than wax chain.... so oil it is now

My freshly oiled chain sounds a lot like your freshly waxed chain. But the oil (lack of) sound stays around longer.

I cleaned, then soaked my chain in melted wax.
I've never had a quieter chain than waxing.

But then on most group rides peoples derailleur are not correct, or they cross chain,
Drives me nuts.... 😆
