Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm guessing a tail light named "Grateful Dead" would not sell well. Reminds me of the Fuji wheels I have marked "Oval".

I did not ride a bike today; I spent more time in the wood shop instead. The wood shop/bicycle quandary(guandary?) will be with me until the end of days.

I understand. I've been doing that on Saturday afternoons recently...and some Sunday afternoons. Although, the project right now is just building out the shop. Yesterday, my daughter and I covered the back wall of the area with pegboard, which she will then paint with some of her bold and colorful graphic design artwork before we start putting stuff on it.

I did the full length of Latigo Canyon Rd. The wind was strong enough to give me a few scares, luckily the borrowed Felt has narrow section wheels. If it had deep section, I would have likely been knocked over.

It got hot here too. Currently 84F. Going back to the cold east coast in 2 days.

I received a text from my neighbor across the street today while @ work. At 5:08am some guy in a black Dodge dart , broke into his pick up truck and his next door neighbors mini van. I Left the house @ 5:00am. Just missed him. The best part is my neighbor is a police officer. He has the entire thing on video! Lol.

Also ran into Psimet on Zwift tonight on a ride. (Or someone using his handle) thought that was kinda neat.

But did you give him a “Ride On!” before you droped the hammer on him?

I've had it on order for a while. The group was a favorite of mine when I was a ute.

Yes, they have aged over the last 37 years, but alas, so have I. I just wish I could have hair like that!

Today years old. I'm seeing that around. It must be a thing. 37 years ago I was tickling the end of my fully dropped out phase(Turn on. Tune in. Drop out) and a year later would be in my final relationship.

A small number of their songs, everybody knows 'em, made a huge impression on me, but I wasn't of an age to go to a store, pick up an album and get deep in to their catalog. I think that I eventually picked up a Greatest Hits in the late 90s, but that's about the extent of it.
