What about a mini- version of the Bible? When I was on the AT, a man I ran into had one. It weighed almost nothing and was the size of the Palm of your hand. Anyone used them?

Ancient wisdom is like a finger pointing to the moon. Why would one wrap/spray plastic around their finger and stick it in a bag? 
Isn't it hard to ride like that? Wouldn't it be better to just take a night jaunt out to view the moon?

then it would make sense if you thought you could make it to the ER in time to glue it back on.

I have Bible Gateway on my phone.
We don't tour much these days, but it's great for sitting for hours in Emergency and things like that.

For a regular Bible using a zip-loc bag or plastic container to protect seems to be the best option. For Bible apps the https://www.youversion.com/ is an amazing option which allows you to load various translations onto your phone or device which gives you access anywhere with the ability to compare various translations if you are into that, or just use your preferred.

IKR. I had to call REI on Friday about an order it screwed up. I was asked to read the order number from the shipping receipt. Even with my reading bifocals it was very hard. Numbers the size of fleas.

I was only kidding. I called them first thing. They emailed me a return UPS label. I have things shipped to my office. We have UPS pickup in the building. I’ll send it back this week… unless I can interest anyone in a BA Fly Creek UL 2 HV for 50% off retail, plus shipping.

I considered in the past the waterproof bible already linked above, but noted that it's quite expensive and in the past it was quite thick and heavy. The publisher updated it years ago and claim to have made it 25% lighter, but it's still a 6x9" bible that's nearly 1.5" thick while being typeset in 8 pt. I was backpacking, so the bulk and weight was a substantial consideration. I think it would be more appealing on a bike. I stuck with a bible I already had, printed on india paper that was half the bulk and weight with larger type. The pages are very thin while maintaining good opacity and they're not especially fragile though nowhere near as tough as the waterproof bible. The good thing is even if the bible gets worn and soggy, his word endures forever!
