Whoops. I hadn't realized reach issues yet, because I haven't straddled or sat upon it. I can adjust them up pretty easily once the time comes. Thanks for noting that so I can give it some attention later.

To move the shifters up to the typical position - the rear shift cable will end up being the front, the rear will need to be replaced.

check to position of the cable guide near the bottom bracket while you are at it.

this frame was designed for 27” wheels
can take 700c - you might consider Weinmann centerpull or DiaCompe center pull brakes.

I've enjoyed this thread and you're doing a great job. You picked up your Paramount around the same time as I picked up my '68 Paramount. Mine came with Weinmann centerpulls, a stronglight 55 crank, and a bunch of Campy record parts. Those parts are all original to the bike. I plan on rebuilding mine this year once my garage is no longer a deep freeze.
