Usually sourdough toast with peanut butter or marmalade. Fried eggs on avocado toast if I've got time. Sometimes a bagel with lox, cream cheese, capers tomato and onion. Always tea to go with that.

Yesterday I bought a couple of egg rings at walmart and read a recipe on how to make Egg McMuffins. Walmart even sells canadian bacon cut to the perfect size. They're actually better than McDonald's because I use a bigger egg. This summer I bought a nice cookware set and after over five decades of life started teaching myself how to cook. I can even make mashed potatoes now.

A croissant, toasted, with coffee. For myself, dinner the night before, and the meal just after the ride are most important, breakfast is just a jumpstart. My favorite pre-race meal was a quart of pork fried rice from a rather disreputable looking Chinese restaurant which had a fair number of 6-legged creatures popular in Mexican song hiding in the corners. The fried rice was hot, greasy, tasty, and plentiful, and it made a noticeable difference in my endurance. I would buy it as takeout during lunch time, then eat it gradually through the day until the evening. This put it in the right place for the next day's ride. My grandfather said that race horses were fed 5 times per day to keep their food evenly distributed in their digestive tracts, the same strategy, more or less, worked well for me.

Multigrain toast, lots of peanut butter, blueberry jam. Maybe add a banana. Winter, oatmeal with 1/2 cup of cashews, 1 cup frozen blueberries, couple tablespoons of honey.

I remember those bars. Nature Valley has something similar to that now, similar but different. It's been so long since I had one of the Carnation bars I can't identify what's different.
At least for me, when I know I'm going to be riding/running in the morning, my breakfast is a cup of the instant oatmeal, small bowl of applesauce (with my daily vitamins ground up in in it) and some fresh fruit, usually a banana. If I know it's going to be an hour or two before my workout, I might have a yogurt but I stay away from a lot of dairy right before my workouts.

those are fun! you can make a super sunrise sandwich by chopping some other items to add to the egg, like tomato, onion & sausage. add the egg & the other stuff, then after a minute, I guess, remove the ring, flip it over & add a sprinkling of shredded cheese. obviously the sausage needs to be cooked & hot. before removing the ring it might be necessary to run a thin utensil around the edge to make sure the ring releases the egg. when I used as a short order cook we used a lot of liquid lube, some fake melted butter product. makes everything slide around & not stick to stuff. at home now we have those squirt or spray products. come are healthier than others. have fun with that!

Back in the ’70s, General Mills Breakfast Squares weren’t big sellers, despite gaining some ardent followers — including a lot of kids.As those kids grew up, though, the bars gained semi-legendary status, taking their place in the gone-but-not-forgotten files with other snack foods like Space Food Sticks and Figurine Diet Bars.
Early on, the square bars came in Chocolate, Cherry, Butter Pecan, Orange and Cinnamon flavors. Later, the product recipe was retooled, and the fruit flavors were dropped and replaced with Chocolate Malt (which became a fan favorite).
Although they launched with great fanfare in 1971, and General Mills tried for years to make the Breakfast Squares work, the product just never gained enough traction. The company stopped advertising them during the late seventies, leaving us with just memories.

Today was cream of wheat with an egg, ham, and diced apple mixed in. Add a bit of honey and non-sweetened almond milk. It is warming, filling, easy to digest and fuels you for a good while. Also, quick to make and easy clean up.

Today I woke up and it seemed kinda odd Mrs Ghazmh cooked a breakfast with no hog. Blueberry pancakes but I didn’t pig out had 66 miles to ride after I rolled out.

When I am touring I like a bagel with either something like summer sausage or canned fish. Carbs, protein and salt all in one compact meal. I can make it while the French press coffee is brewing. Very little cleanup in camp.
