Interesting mix of old and new
This pic in an email from Zwift showed up in my inbox today. Nice Torelli frame retromodded with what looks to be Athena 11. I like the kit too! No comment on the cross chaining.

I'll have to get a shot of my current setup... another interesting mix of old & new. (Raleigh Technium RT450 w/ 2x10 105 derailleurs, friction downtube (may be moving to friction bar ends), Gossamer crankset, and a cheap set of brakes (don't really need brakes when I'm not going anywhere). I really like to see Zwift adding more interesting bikes, makes for a nice game experience.

Rapha kit says it all, but I did get a set of sock identical to those at an expo.
So tight, they made muffin tops of my calves.
Perhaps Torelli's last gasp at getting some attention.

Retro is all the rage at the moment. There's a lot of apparel out there with 70's colors, patterns, etc. I'm seeing plenty of t-shirts with palm trees, wavy lines and sunsets. Look at the stripes on the new Swiftwicks. I'm guessing the person in the photo is a fan of the band Cream.

I finally got an ambassador link for Pactimo, because I wanted a set of the "arrowed" orange, green, and blue.
We have a friend who only wears green kit, and we wanted to show up with the green Pactimo like his...
Bummed when i got to the lineup and it was muted soft colors. Even with the discount...no.
It was kharma telling me to go back to the discount and used rack.

I know it's not photogenic, but the absence of a towel or sweat guard just makes me cringe. This is why I switched out the steel bike I had on my trainer for a CF one.

No apologies for the cringe-worthy photo. It shows off the old meets new theme.

Sounds like a solid choice, I can't get over the fact (been there) that it's cheaper to buy a new crankset right now than it is to get chainrings.

As long as we're posting pics of Old and New in a trainer setup:
Since taken have used both a repainted '87 Schwinn Tempo and powder coated '88 Cannondale ST with the Neo 2T trainer, but of course they all have downtube shifters. I sweat like crazy so the fanes are required, as is a towel laid under the bike and another across the handlebars. A quick wipedown afterwards keeps any rust/corrosion from developing.

I've been through that with a braze-on FD road frame.
105 FD didn't reach the GRX crankset.
XT FD didn't reach the GRX crankset.
The GRX FD will be here in, I hope, a month.

We have a similar setup, a side-by-side.
Kickr Smarts set on Inside Ride E-Flex stands. No wheels, no calipers necessary.
I use Microshift DT shifters and TRP brake levers (just to put my hands on.)
She uses an old 6600 group. We "de-tune" the rear cassettes to 4T less than we use on real rides.
The local Power-Up coaches seem to give us workouts that are just enough to make me almost cry.
She's a data freak, so I got her the Wahoo HR and a Stages power meter (has cadence on it)
I use Garmin HR, cadence. The Kicker supplies the other data, and I don't care about power.
With her using Wahoo stuff and me using Garmin stuff, we don't have cross-pollination of info.
Twin fans are a must.
We use a pair of MacAir's hooked to cheapo 42" TV's, use the Zwift Companion on the phones, bar mounted.
Once you get all the settings right, it's (I can't believe I'm saying this) sort of OK.
I'm using a Kestrel and she's using an old Specialized Amira. Not sweating the sweating.....
Nice to be able to use heavy old seat posts, stems, and bars that would otherwise be discarded/sold.
We had to decide if we wanted the fork risers for climbing, and basically, the trade-off (droppingth the E-Flex) was too much.
The riser doesn't really make it seem like climbing as much as the resistance, and it's too stationary. I prefer the fork to move.
