Addiction 2021.3

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Countless trips up the ladder. This receptacle was originally installed for my tablesaw, sharing space in my bedroom. Ya gotta wonder. Then the tablesaw moved out to the porch, and still there was too much dust. Ultimately it got its own building, and a ceiling light was installed here. A worthless ceiling light.

Those brake levers make nice clothes hooks, mostly for stuff taken off soaked with sweat. One wouldn't want it steeping, wet, in the clothes hamper.

Yeah. When I wanted to try the Canyon on my Snap trainer, I had to order the adapter kit from Wahoo, which contains THREE thru-axles, and tells you to match the threads by eye. I already knew I needed 1mm thread pitch, but AFAIK they don't sell the thru axles separately.

Bowing to market pressure. This is where I take issue with Free Market types who say The Market is never wrong. The Market has given us the IPA glut.

Frustration with proprietary parts is part of why I’m staying away from the new fancy bikes. I want round seatposts, dammit.

Just like all the pumpkin spice stuff. It's not even September and places are advertising it.

I am not a big beer drinker, but I do like a crisp pilsner. My local has nothing but fruity crap, cider and IPAs on tap. Most of them are IPAs.

You mean like where your thighs never lose contact with the stomach so there are no drag inducing cavities?
