1992-ish Specialized Allez, small frame
(Photo done here to show off the garage door mural we had done recently by a local artist. I didn't get the bike in there symetrically though, dang it!)
I picked this up at our neighborhood garage sale last weekend. It was being sold by the original owner--more likely his dad--and appears to be all-original, down to the Specialized tires, which are 23s. I haven't found the exact catalog yet but it appears to be a 1992 model. Direct Drive CroMo frame, Shimano RX100 everything. A few minor marks, but no dents or damage as far as I've found, not a spot of rust. Obviously needs a good cleaning, overhaul, and consumables. The frame is 43cm with a sloping downtube, so it's for a small rider, even smaller than me at 5' 7" on a good day. I just picked it up because it was so obviously a good bike and the price was right.
I'm looking to 're-home' it so if you've got a kid or SO this would fit, get in touch and hopefully we can work something out. I'm not really interested in shipping it, that's just too much work, sorry.
Asking $200
in Chicago

Standover just in front of the saddle is about 28". I have short legs and a 29" inseam (sock feet) and for me there's still a lot of room. If I spend much more time with the bike I'm likely to find a way to keep it. It's nothing remarkable, a Giant-made (probably) mass production bike, but boy did they have that dialed in in 1992.
