A few years back, a couple of bee sting threads/comments popped on the 41 and I was puzzled. I went so far as to mention that it'd never happened to me in all my life, etc, etc.
Aaaaaaand then I got stung twice within a couple weeks. Well, I got stung more than twice, but it was two incidents. One was a bee that smacked my cheek and got caught up in my helmet strap and gave me a whathaveyou for good measure. The other got scooped in to my partially unzipped jersey and hit me a couple times before I could fully unzip and shake it out. Fun times.

A question for the Garmin folks: is going to sleep more frequently than a narcoleptic cat the default mode for these things? What kind of real-world battery life can be expected with the display on all of the time?
I love the always-on aspect of the Bolt and not seeing anything on the screen 80% of the time today was a little... weird.

Edit: It is actually more than that, as I usually charge around 20% left. Once I forgot to charge and started a ride at ~10%, activated battery saver, and of course it died a block from home heading back (2.5+ ride)

I need this for my Serfas FP-200 SE
I looked on Amazon and can't find one but there is one that look like it would work. Is there any standards out there. The O.D. of the hose seems to be 3/8 inch. What matters is the thread size I suppose. Any ideas?
TIA.

nope. Unless you’ve activated what garmin calls “battery saver” mode. I don’t have a 530 (I’m assuming that’s what you have), so it would not be a comparison, but, iirc, I get 14+ hours on the 1030 (Varia on 100%).

And yes - 530

That happened to me a few years back and I went into anaphylaxis. No bueno. After a few years of getting venom shots I am cured of that allergy. I still hate those wasps. The culprit was a yellow jacket wasp btw. 100% evil.

Last season, a bee flew into my open, gasping, mouth. I spat it out and it stung me on the wrist. It was definitely a bee because it left its stinger and venom sac.

Shoulder. The problem is it was my left shoulder, and I'm not good with my right hand off the bars under the best of circumstances, so brushing it off was hazardous. I don't think it had time to get me good, and was probably as surprised as I was. Still not what I wanted to happen at mile 59.5. And at least I'm not allergic.

What matters is the size of the hose it connects to. All standard valves are the same size. And frankly, I bet the connecting hoses are pretty standard

Years ago I was painting a house and had a quart carton of chocolate milk open sitting in the grass on the shady side of the house. I also had a bag of popcorn that I'd been grazing from. I took a sip of milk and there was a foreign object in my mouth. Hmmm, must've dropped a kernel of popcorn in there. OMG, it's moving!!! I proceeded to spit out a yellow jacket, who got me right on the lip on the way out! Man that hurt.

My worst insect eating experience was popping a raspberry with an unseen Japanese beetle on it into my mouth and having a nice chomp. The bitterness was indescribable, transcendant! I could taste it for days.

I was descending into Watkins Glen when a bee hit me in my crotch about one inch from a certain WTF part. Got a minor sting through my shorts. At the finish in town a ride worker gave me a ziplock bag with ice to stuff down my shorts.
