Why do people who don't want to see posts about why a thread topic is obnoxious have to make comments about those posts they don't want to see? Now "that" is narcissism! Enjoy the infinite regression you started.
It is a stupid thread topic for reasons discussed above and it does smack of people looking for something really weird to brag about that really isn't relevant to anything but genetics and possible pathology. This isn't the first such thread and it's a topic that has nothing to do with General Cycling. Like most of the posters on this thread, I chose to goof on it instead of complying with OP's absurd request. I really don't care if you approve of that.

RHR is not a fixed quantity and varies with the training cycle and other stressors in anyone who actually works out.

My numbers would definitely have been considered "impressive" if they hadn't taken me off the atenolol because I was nearly passing out a couple times a day.

You would say that because you're part of the conspiracy of doctors to rain on thread topics.
Just kidding, I wanted to highlight that you're probably the only actual medical doctor on this thread.

My resting heart rate is 49. It is the best resting heart rate. Anything lower is a waste. Convince me otherwise ...

And altitude raises it, apparently. I’m at 8100 feet since yesterday, and my RHR is up about 7 beats. But down 2 beats from yesterday, is that acclimation? I hope so, my power is down and perceived exertion is up. I did a climb yesterday to 9400’, and it felt like a killer. I was wrecked.

Your recovery heart rate is a better fitness indicator.

I'm definitely NOT a doctor, and my RHR varies from 42 during the riding season, to 58 in the winter. Maybe some denizens here ride equally year-around, so the distinction doesn't matter. As I sit here at my desk at work, I'm at 54. That's my 'sitting' HR, not my 'resting' HR.,
