Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Last I checked, my FTP was about 256, or between 2.8 and 2.9 W/kg, depending on my weight, which has been fluctuating between 200 and 205. Might be time to test again. On one hand, I managed a PR on the Innsbruck climb. On the other, I haven't been training at all. Just riding, and not as much of that.

BTW, fluctuating between 200 and 205 is pretty damn good, if I say so myself. March of 2020, I think it was fluctuating between 225 and 230.

So based on how my legs feel today, seems legit
I know that you're strong and that you put in time, but that's actually the reason that the big bump might be worth scrutiny - you don't often see something like that outside of someone that's untrained and when you do, it's not the kind of thing that sneaks up on you. I don't know how/if you plan on actively using those numbers, but just keep it in mind.

The thing about it is, it's ONE puzzle a day. That means a single distraction of however long it takes you, and then that's it for the next 24 hours. You can't get sucked in to doing it over and over.

I've gotta say Trsnrtr, WDTing the last couple of weeks has been a big difference - better shots and better consistency. It's actually changed my drinking habits! It was rare for me to drink a straight espresso, but I've been having one most days, lately.

Kudos! I've fluctuated in all of those regions in the last 5-6 years - it does make a huge difference. Now hovering in the low 170s and I can't imagine going back. I even have a hard time looking at photos of myself from more than a few years ago.

My job is confusing enough that I don't need more puzzles. The analysis I'm doing these days is all done in R, which means command line rather than point-and-click. Remembering commands, syntax, arguments, etc. Keeps me young.

At least, that's what I want to believe....

I can't imagine 170. I think the last time I was there, Ford was President.
