Yep, TrueTemper decal on this frame, and that's the spec in the catalog. Way more than "kind of" high; that's a $50 frame, even with the shiny bits, and only if it were (mostly) rust-free.

Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

Found this 1984 520 recently. Planning to get it converted back to drop bars for my wife.

1982 Trek 412 25.5" from earlier in this thread, now 650b converted. Fender-less for summer.
Pacenti PL23s, old XT hubs, 650x42 Compass "Babyshoe Pass" Extra light tires. Still plenty of room for fenders.

Here’s a crappy indoor shot of the TX304. I still need to shellac the handlebars.

Sooo Does anyone know what spindle size I need for a silstar crank? I'm not sure what size I need. I have a 1980 trek 412, I am wanting to change it out to a sealed bottom bracket but am unsure of the size. The one I have Im pretty sure is not the original spindle size, it is a 120mm

If you err on the side of caution, you can always use up to ~2mm cassette spacer to move the BB outboard on the drive side. I had to do that to get a Sugino AT crank to fit on a 127mm BB!

Well, they're both green, and you do have a whole lot of "business" going on.

I found one searchable BF thread for a TX304, but it appears to be one other than yours. Did you create a BF build thread for this bike? If not, you should - inquiring minds want to know.

Reimagined Trek 950 mt bike in service on a grocery run to Trader Joe's.
It'll be getting rear rack and basket installed soon.
Anyone know of a replacement or substitute Shimano Deore thumbshifter cap?
I tried a soda bottle cap but it is a bit too large.
The missing one is prominent in this pic.
