Waterfall grllls usually make me think of Buicks, but it looks like your DeSoto has a waterfall grill too.

There's a lot of pot metal in that grill and it's heavy. I have a second grill that's hanging in my dads garage that will eventually end up on my basement rec room wall.

My Beach Cruiser... Had it about 10 years and rarely rode it... Then we moved to a small coastal town on the border with Canada... Now I ride it everyday, everywhere...
The upgrades have been the bottom bracket and chainrings, stem, bars and grips, added a front brake, rack and bottle cage... Finally, I put my 50 year old Brooks Pro saddle on it...
It is truly a highlight of each day to ride a few blocks to the harbor, then out to the wharf just to check in with the gulls, herons and eagles.... And some days I even see other people...!!!...

$35 bucks and I rode it home, Huffy Cranbrook from a few years back. Seemed to have been taken care of but missing the usual, proper adjustments and grease.
Thought i I would have some fun with it and spare my real Klunker cruiser from the wet weather, a 1963 Chicago Schwinn middleweight American.
here is the Cranbrook with some new parts to make it better. Later a tear down and regressed.
Seat needs lowering

I really love one speed bikes for their durability. Usually the chainrings are long lasting steel. They use one speed chain which is also longer lasting than all the skinnier 7=8=9=10=11=12=13 speed chains. Easy to regrease everything. One piece cranks are a dream for maintenance and very cheap long lasting components. Looks like you might have added a better seatpost, a different taller stem and handlebar. I especially like your long protected chain and lock combo. I make home made ones from hardware store chain, bicycle inner tube, and a hardware store lock. Good for locking to many different objects that a U lock won't go round. Also can lock front wheel along with the frame. Excellent. Not good for high crime areas but good to run into the store for a minute.

I rebuilt this 60's Columbia and much newer Schwinn last year. The Schwinn had surprisingly good quality components and was just generally a better built bike than the old Columbia. Regreased everything, added the rack to the back of the Columbia, added the baskets. Bikes rode very well afterward.

As much as I like the look of cruisers, this is mine for now in order to keep the stable as lean as possible. It's SS, so has some cruiser vibe.

Over the weekend I picked up a 1948 Roadmaster Luxury Liner Replica (actually built in 1998). It's going to need a little work, the previous owner backed into it and bent the crank arm a little. I think I will be able to straighten it. Pictures are in an album on my profile page (don't have enough posts yet!).

My soon to be Klunker and Cobbler.
These Diamondbacks seem to be rare bikes, I was originally going to make the Cranbrook the klunker, but that's gonna be cobbled together as a spare bike, since my LaJolla is too janky to keep being used. That Drifterı really is a big bike, not sure if I'm going to keep those bars on it, or not. I know somebody that's a bike builder, and he said he can weld a disc brake tab on it. Both bikes are getting 3pc conversions I got stored away. One is basically a 3pc ashtabula, the other is a bmx 3pc. Both bikes are lined up at the bb.
