No more Langsters?

AFAIK, the aluminum ones were discontinued after the 2018 model, the steel version maybe a few years before that -- 2014 maybe?

As long as you're not stuck on labels, you can get this.

Correct, they sell the cheap aluminum Sirrus Single Speed (or at least did pre-pandemic). Aside from parts quality the idea of the bike is more sensible as you can fit wider tires if only it was decent quality chromo steel or at least 'loominum with crabons in the fork. The Langster is probably gone for the time being.
Also while typing I do remember them doing an Allez Sprint Track but again probably not continuing at least through pandemic because it is an unneeded bike at the moment.
Koyote should have mentioned this not that the other bike isn't awesome but the Thunderdome is closer to the Langster than the Nature Boy or Nature Cross SS. However I wish they had done it with sliding dropouts rather than eccentric BB but that is jus tme. However if it were me I would go Super Professional single speed and really have some fun.

And that, that bike has very little in common with a steel Langster. I'd understand if it were a Fuji Feather, but thats a Cross Fixie.

veganbikes mentioned the bike that I should have linked. All City makes nice frames -- decent steel, good paint jobs.

The fixed gear trend was popular for a while and then sort of faded but not really.
Plenty of excellent to decent enough steel bikes though, AC Big Block, Surly Steamroller, Wabi Cycles, Mash Steel SS, State Bicycle (they make a bunch that are perfectly fine and did some Rick and Morty and Simpsons themed stuff which was neat) Affinity Lo-Pro, Cinelli Vigorelli Steel, Cinelli SuperCorsa Pista, Cinelli Tutto plus... Plus you have a ton of custom builders who work in steel and other materials like Titanium so you can have pretty much the moon.

Love my aluminum Langster, even though it's from the first year of production, before they figured out that the rear axle nuts would chew up the aluminum dropouts (Specialized installed steel dropout plates in later models). I'd been looking for a reasonably priced aluminum track frame drilled for brakes for years, and the Langster was the first such bike offered by a major manufacturer.
I rode steel track bikes from 1964 (at age 13) until the Langster came along. Steel's OK, but I greatly prefer the way aluminum frames handle---not a hint of steering vagueness.

I’d actually go with almost any of the above mentioned over the Langster.

I loved the classic looks from that Specialized Red steel Langster. It looks like Fuji is the only major company pushing a traditional quill stem steel track bike with the Feather right now. Maybe in 10 years it'll come around to being cool again.
Props to them for keeping it going, I guess.

A friend of mine wants to unload his lopro. It’s my size, at a great price but I dunno...
