When you give up on achieving your dreams. When I was three I wanted to drive a street sweeper. It sadly never happened.

When you see a BF post like "what do ride" with 5000 plus posts and you can't remember if you already posted.

Obama was the first President who was younger than me at the time... he's aged a lot since then though.

I liked 'em, too. I would have settled for a trash truck. I ended up driving a tow truck for a few years in my 20s. I had a customer tell me tow trucks were her son's second favorite to trash trucks.

When the fellas at the shop consider you a "legend" and tell stories about your antics to the new employees.

Guys, I was 20 then, young and dumb and out having fun!

When I started cussing at the grocery store because they were playing Wham over the speakers and people my age started laughing. They were thinking the same thing

Too bad about the people your age at your grocery store.
Wham had a couple of really good hits and one of the top lead singers, ever.

Several types of establishments are not graced with my presence; those that play the audio from Fox news or any other talk radio over the in store sound system or from mounted TV sets, or not quite as bad, but bad enough, play local radio stations featuring any sort of current popular music with banal disk jockey commentary.

Though I haven't experienced any store playing any Heavy Metal music over the sound system, I would run out of such a place even faster than if it was playing loud country music. I wouldn't even waste the time to shake my fist, let also cuss the store management, I would consider them hopeless dunderheads.

IMO, It is not a matter of age but taste.

You should never get so old to not appreciate great songs sung by great singers who are no longer with us, let alone grace the current pop charts.

When I drive my 71 914 and people ask, What is it? When I explain it is a mid-engine with two trunks, I get, “seriously?”.

I took a radiator to a radiator shop to be repaired. It was in the front trunk of my Corvair and when I opened the lid the guy working there said "Oh, we don't remove them from cars".He thought I wanted him to remove the radiator and when I reached in and lifted it out his jaw dropped.

I figure I'll be old when I reach the age of my favorite woodworking tools and sewing machines - another 30+ years.

That gives you a good safe cushion to never grow old since you can't possibly catch up to them!

I enjoy using tools I inherited from my deceased Uncle & Father in Law. & when I do I tell my Wife & kids about it. some day I guess my kids will get everything. I hope they remember me as fondly as I do my lost mentors

When you realize that if you get caught looking at a pretty young woman, they are probably thinking with disgust, “What a dirty old man”
