Hello from Grand Rapids
Hello everyone,
I've been riding one of my Raleigh 3 speed bikes this year after 40 years away from a bicycle. My main interest is in the English 3 speed type bicycles. I have read many of the postings about them on the Bike Forum, and have learned a lot. I'm glad to be here.

Hometown! I sure miss #pureMichigan...I was home at the end of May/beginning of June and made ample use of the WPT and some of the other infrastructure. You're in a good place to take it back up. Allez!

Thanks for your comment. I live very close to the White Pine Trail, so am on it every time I go for a ride, unless it's around the block to quickly test a bike repair (don't like riding near cars). I hope you are able to ride in your current location.

I live in Belgium Patrick L. , there's a few decent roads, but they're all littered with cobblestones!

Welcome from Kalamazoo!
I've ridden the WPT from Comstock Park to Sand Lake a few times. Fun ride.

That distance is beyond my capabilities right now, but I have ridden from Belmont, MI to the 5/3 Ballpark and back quite a few times this summer on the WPT (10.2 miles round trip). Anyway, thanks for your comment.

North of Sand Lake it gets fun. My dad lives just north of Sand Lake, 1 mile off the WPT, I always bring a gravel bike and ride it both directions, but truthfully prefer going toward GR to see old friends and grab a few pints at any of the numerous fantastic breweries in the city.

It is a beautiful place. Imagine WPTs between every major city, and bike lanes next to nearly every road...and cobbles don't slow me much, but they are definitely something to behold, and require some real skill to ride fast and "comfortably."
