Yep. EO. Like the Allez above.

Other than Cinelli, don’t know much about the pecking order of bottom brackets...

Congratulations! I think you hit the jackpot as far as Mercian builders go! I have TWO frames built by Derek Land, a 1971 KOM that originally had Nervex Pro lugs; it was badly crashed in Columbia, SC soon thereafter, and made its way into the hands of Mike Melton (yes, THAT Mike Melton) when he as associated with Joe Azar's shop near the USC campus. Melton repaired it using a new Bocama lower head lug and what may be Vitus 971 tubing in the front triangle. My son rides it now. My 2004 Vincitore custom road fixed-gear is also a Derek Land-built bike. It remains my all-time favorite bicycle ever, and my only quibbles with it are my own fault - shoulda spec'ed it for 32s, maybe even had brazed-on posts for Weinmann Vainquers ... but man, is it a lovely ride!

I think that is why I am hesitant to do anything to it. I sort of like the bruises and bumps and scratches, discolorations and rust bunnies. Starting to think about how to build it up as we speak...

Those are honorable marks of wear and tear and miles, kinda like how you just KNOW an old guitar will be good when you see the finish worn off the back of the neck and where the right arm moves along the bass-side lower bout - or at least it used to be that way before the manufacturer's custom shops started selling "relic'ed" reproduction guitars, which are as phony to my eyes as buying new jeans with holes already in them.

My favorite bikes have lots of patina, whether they came with it or I put it on them over the years. I'm just eager to see how you build it up!

A few too many items in the queue, but this moves ahead of anything I will be painting. A few bikes for teachers, a few for students, one or two to get rid of and then onto my own bikes!
