Just got the merch catalog for Newport-Bermuda 2022 in a race update email and was slightly tempted to order a nice sweatshirt, but with the continuing COVID ****storm I’m worried they’ll cancel again.

Something happened today that may or may not be germane to the topic. My wife was ahead of me (naturally) on a tailwind today, doing >20 mph when two dogs came out of a field and shot passed me and chased my wife. She finally out ran them and I was immensely amused at the spectacle. This pair was fast. Not normal dog fast but greyhound fast. She was doing 25+ when they finally tuckered out and quit but damn! They were two smugly proud pooches. We were still laughing about it last night. I've witnessed a zillion dog chases over the last 40 years but this one was great.
My wife asked if I thought they would have bit her. I doubt it, maybe just a nip or two.

We'd have to find out where that is, first.
I'm getting antsy to travel, but the wife wants to wait until the girl is a year or two older. While I'd like to visit Ireland, I'm actually more interested to visit Scandinavia, which the wife and boy (who's been taking Swedish lessons for a few years) would be thrilled with, too.

on my paternal grandmother’s side I’m a descendant of a tea party participant (can’t remember who) who subsequently fought in the revolution.
The rest of me is Hungarian, Austrian and German. My great grandfather snuck out of Hungary during WWI and emigrated here. His first wife and two kids were to come later, but were involved in a ship capsizing so stayed in Hungary. My dad’s cousin has of yet been unable to track them down.

Down to 159. 4 pounds to go for my goal.
Raised my EFTP to 235 according to intervals this morning. I still think it’s higher but i’ll take 235.

So this morning I am locked out of pages 392-394, but not 395. I am the victim of a conspiracy.

One challenge that you may have is that, although it's very flat in W'burg, there's lots of undulations and it may be tough to stay on top of the pedals when you crest a gentle roll and come down.

Steady 30-50 mph winds, gusts to 60-75. Hope the stuff in the yard survives.

It can only estimate based on what you show it. If you want a better idea of where the edge is, you need to really push to that edge. Intervals uses efforts of 3 min or longer, so I find it helpful to have a lap screen with timer and average lap power. Set up a screen like that and bury yourself (but don't peter out before 3min).
One challenge that you may have is that, although it's very flat in W'burg, there's lots of undulations and it may be tough to stay on top of the pedals when you crest a gentle roll and come down.

Thats what I was focusing on today, as far as the rolling terrain. Whenever I had a descent, no matter the size I made sure to keep the pressure on the pedals.
I’ll never understand how my unit when I stop will show an average speed of 20.3 and average power of 236 but when it transfers to strava it subtracts.
For once I want to see it add. Is that too much too ask?
