Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I shop a few times per week. Part of it is a lack of planning, the other part is foods that don't have a long shelf life. Whether I take the car or the bike, I rarely have more than could fit in to two saddle bags. Then again, housing location could be a big factor. Having lived in NYC, I have a firm belief that city dwellers should be within walking distance to a grocery store or three.

I like their punk styled song. Precious is AWESOME!

I generally hate fake reggae, but Waste Not, Want Not is one of my favorite songs.

I do most of my grocery shopping by foot. sometimes I go by bike when I have a lot to carry. of course it is just me and the cat. I do go several times per week though.

Caledonia 5, apparently.

Looks like the blue carbon colourway.

Good thing it's not the bassboat option (Oasis). It would suck to wreck that paint.

You're just envious of big highway news. Remember when Highway 99 was being planned? Kinda similar feeling.

Map of the day. Note the now disappeared Tulare Lake, once the largest lake west of the Mississippi river.

Nope.

I do remember when I-640 was being built. My parents got some rocks there which they used for landscaping.
