I use the baseball bat as a clothes hanger. I found it left behind in another building. It's an autographed broken bat from the SF Giants backup catcher or something...

Hang a small monitor where that photo is, and behind the scenes, wire it to the external output of your camera, and then take the pic. Instant infinite Inception effect.

how do you like the Arkel trunk bag? I am considering a trunk bag when I don't want to carry panniers. (riding with my son on rail trails etc)

I love this bag. The top is designed to expand by a surprising amount, and is relatively waterproof. The only thing I didn't like is having to remove and install the 4 velcro straps everytime I took it off/on the bike. I solved this by installing a Raacktime rack on the bike and Snap-It clip on the Arkel bag. This works like magic!

Thanks, but there is no need to honor us. We get up and go to work just like everybody else. Most kids have dreams of what they want to be when they grow up and some are lucky enough to have those dreams come true.

I never noticed that before. I can assure you that it wasn't intentional. Heck, the fact that the bike is red is pure coincidence. I set out to buy a gravel bike and this bike popped up on my computer screen for $700 off MSRP.

At least in my experience, there is no mid-range SS freewheel. It's all either $10 Dacta stuff or $100 White Industries high-end parts.

i'm late to this, sorry. the differences are number of pawls, seals, bearing type, and general construction. basic shimano freewheel has 4 pawls, no seals, loose non-replaceable bearings, not great quality cog/casing. so there's 8 points of engagement, meaning more rotation is needed to engage the freewheel after coasting. dirt gets in there easily and wears the bearings down - usually the bearings are toast before the cog, but the cogs can also wear heavily from normal use. white industries freewheel has 18 pawls (i think) for 36 points of engagement, which means you go from coasting to mashing almost instantly. it uses sealed, replaceable bearings, and the cog/case is made of super-hardened nickel-plated whatever, so it will outlive your bike, and maybe you. the ride feel is amazing with the near instant engagement - really lets you ride aggressively with confidence.

Thanks, @basketbro. Wow. We don't have that problem with multi-speed freewheels. I'll keep an eye out for good single speed freewheels. I shouldn't have tossed the one I had, as I need one now.

This is my 2017 Trykit trike, single speed. I've been a trike rider for 30 years and I love them.

I carry my work bag, if I go shopping I have a big bag. This really is just a commuter. This is my school commuter, it's a 1992 George Longstaff tandem trike. Grtz from Belgium.
