Cygolite Problem
On my ride this morning in the dark and my Cygolite Trion 1300 suddenly went dark and then started blinking super-fast. Turned it off for a moment, but could not get it to turn back on. Nothing on the minimalistic Cygolite site or box. Should have had about 90 more minutes worth of charge. No crashes or water issues. It's 2 years old and I estimate it has about 450 hours on it. The battery does not appear to be replaceable, It was around $200. Totally solid until now.
Thoughts?

Contact them. They will replace or repair it. They did for me, and they were terrific.

Cygolite makes an external battery pack that works with the Trion.

Have you tried contacting Cygolite? When I had an issue with a Hotshot and contacted them they were very helpful.
https://cygolite.com/contact-us/
Lastly, a new Metro Pro 1100 is about $70 new.

My Metro 550 had issues after it was out of warranty. The repair was $20 plus shipping to Cygolite. Very prompt service and easy to deal with.

Oh, good. Seems like a great company. I am packing it up to send off later today. It's working now, but obviously, something's not all right with it.

Well, as I got ready to ship off the light to Cygolite, I decided to give it one more shot. So, I charged it up, which went as usual, and then went out for 90 minutes with it on the brightest setting. It worked great. No issues. So, I am going to just go with it. If it happens again, I will reevaluate. If I have to buy a replacement, I am thinking about the Outbound Road version. It looks pretty interesting, if a little spendy. I also like the B&M Ixon Space.

The only new item I see on Cygolite's web site it a new series called Ranger. No real improvement in battery life that I can see and still uses a proprietary battery.
There's also a version of the Hotshot Pro 200 that uses a hard mount to the seatpost. It's the same Hotshot they've been selling with the flexible mount.

Based on prior experience with Cygolite I expect it will be an excellent product however, it would be nice if they made that Ranger 1400 with non proprietary batteries. They sell their proprietary battery for the Expilion series for $30. They don't show the Ranger battery yet.

Well, it's been a little over 10 days and the Trion 1300 is still performing perfectly. I think it just had a seizure or something. But it is good because I won't have to buy that new $200 light just yet and I can therefore, buy the Cookie Monster jersey I so desire for Christmas.
