Note:
Today is the first day of staycation. I already cut my hair and weighed in - down 6 pounds.
Prolly going to work Thursday so I'm not buried when get back. Meeting an old friend for coffee on Wednesday. Haven't seen him since March 2019. Pandemic disrupted that.. Going to do some yard work and miscellaneous other things around the house as I see fit.. Already have a list prepared. Stopping for coffee now. The wife is working this week but from home save for 1 day. Perhaps we'll have lunch one day. Usually I'd get a big mileage week when I do this. That was before I became a former cyclist.
tl;dr
No bike riding this week.

When I head to TN in a few weeks, I'll be deposing a graduate of VV's school. I'll have to break out the longhorn bolo tie slide and go big.

After living here nearly 40 year, the first real rain of the wet season still catches me off guard. But it doesn't seem to catch the plants off guard. Already the grass in the back yard, which I could have sworn was all dead from not being watered for months, is showing a surprising amount of green. Some of the plants, like the Hydrangea, are confused, because their biological programming is telling them to drop their leaves and go dormant, while the arrival of rain is telling them to spring to life. Biological programming always wins, though.
